Half of our kitchen speaks French. Alongside the Persian grill, the menu at Le Flamant Rose carries a set of French classics, cooked the traditional way and given a Persian accent where it belongs.
To Begin
Soupe à l'Oignon Gratinée (AED 39) is the classic French onion soup. Bouchée à la Reine (AED 49) is a chicken and mushroom vol-au-vent, and Parfait de Foie de Volaille (AED 49) a smooth chicken liver parfait. Lighter plates include Champignons à l'Escargot (AED 44), garlic-butter mushrooms, Œufs Mimosa au Safran (AED 39), saffron devilled eggs, and Ratatouille (AED 39). For a special occasion, try Foie Gras Poêlé aux Albaloo (AED 124) with sour cherry.
Les Plats Français
Confit de Canard aux Albaloo (AED 119) pairs duck leg confit with sour cherry, albaloo in Persian. Steak Frites (AED 169) comes with golden fries and Café de Paris butter, Loup de Mer Meunière (AED 139) is a whole sea bass in brown butter, and Gambas Sautées (AED 149) are sautéed tiger prawns.
To Finish
Our pâtisserie is French with Persian notes: Mille-Feuille (from AED 79), Dacquoise Framboise (AED 89), Paris-Brest au Pistache (AED 54), Tarte Tatin aux Coings (AED 49), made with quince, and Crème Brûlée au Safran & Cardamome (AED 44). See all of them on our Desserts menu.
